Vision

MSU Unscripted is a yearly improv show brought to life by the freshman class at Michigan State University.

Through months of work, these new students at Michigan State University learn not how to be funny, but rather skills of communication, teamwork, initiative, and leadership that lead to success not only in improv comedy, but in theatre and far into the world at large as well.

One of my favorite aspects of improv comedy is the way in which given circumstances are not established until the moment someone opens their mouth; anything not said is completely circumstantial. However, the moment someone, anyone, states anything at all, that is reality; a reality that only builds and builds until the ultimate conclusion of the scene. In improv, you can be anything, only until you are something.
